Bilovit Petitgrain Essential Oil - 10 ml

Bilovit Petitgrain Essential Oil is distilled from the leaves of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium amara). Its aroma is fresh and floral, with spicy-herbal notes and a delicate citrus finish. It works in a diffuser, in a bath and in massage after dilution.

Petitgrain oil properties

Petitgrain oil has a rich chemical composition. Its main components are linalyl acetate (up to 65%) and linalool (about 20%). It comes from the leaves of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium amara), the same tree that gives orange oil from the fruit peel and neroli oil from the flowers. The three oils differ in composition, properties and, above all, in aroma.

The oil helps control sebum without drying the skin and has a toning effect, so it suits the care of combination and oily skin. It nourishes and brightens dull, tired-looking skin - just add a few drops to your favourite cosmetics. It can also be used as a hair rinse, especially for hair that tends to get oily, to deodorise and refresh.

In aromatherapy, petitgrain has an uplifting, energising aroma. During a bath or massage it helps you unwind, and in a diffuser it freshens the air in the room.

Origin of the raw material: Bitter orange comes from south-eastern Asia, where it is grown in the largest quantities.

Recommended use: for massage, for baths, for inhalation, in a diffuser. For skin application, dilute to 1-2% in a carrier oil (2-3 drops per 10 ml).

Precautions: Do not use on wounds or irritated skin. Not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding; use caution with children. May be phototoxic, so avoid sun exposure after applying to the skin. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children. Before first use, test on a small area of skin.
