A set of 2 responsive Natural teats with a very slow flow, ideal for newborns and very young babies. The innovative design with a J-slit ensures that milk flows only when the baby is actively suckling – just like during breastfeeding. When the baby pauses to breathe or swallow, the milk stops flowing.
The anti-colic valve reduces the amount of air entering the baby’s tummy, minimising the risk of colic and discomfort. Compatible with all Philips Avent bottles from the Natural range. Made from soft, BPA-free silicone, in eco-friendly paper packaging.

The natural feeding rhythm with a responsive teat
The Natural Responsive Teat with a very slow flow has been designed to perfectly mimic breastfeeding. Its unique design, featuring a J-slit, ensures that milk flows only when the baby is actively suckling. When the baby pauses to swallow or breathe, the milk does not flow automatically, just as it does during breastfeeding.
This innovative technology allows the baby to control the feeding pace themselves, sucking, swallowing and breathing in their own natural rhythm. This not only helps prevent spitting up, but also makes it much easier to combine breastfeeding with bottle-feeding, which is particularly important for mums returning to work or who need to use a bottle from time to time.
The very slow flow is specially adapted to the needs of newborns, whose sucking reflex and coordination of sucking with swallowing and breathing are still developing. It ensures an optimal amount of milk, reducing the risk of choking or excessive milk leakage.
Benefits you’ll love:
Special J-slit – releases milk only during active sucking, mimicking the natural rhythm of breastfeeding.
Very slow flow – ideal for newborns, tailored to their needs and abilities.
Anti-colic valve – reduces the amount of air entering the baby’s tummy, minimising the risk of colic.
Non-spill design – prevents milk from spilling, ensuring cleanliness and convenience.
Wide, soft shape – easier latching and a more natural experience for your baby.
2 pieces per pack – a practical spare for replacement or for use with different bottles.
Eco-friendly paper packaging – lower CO2 emissions, greater care for the planet.
Bisphenol A-free material – safe for your little one.
Intended use:
Responsive Natural teats with very slow flow are designed for:
- Newborns and very young infants (from birth).
- Babies who are fed a mix of breast and bottle.
- Babies suffering from colic, wind or discomfort during feeds.
- Parents who want to replace worn-out teats in Philips Avent Natural bottles.
- Mums who want their baby to control the feeding pace.
- Babies who spit up or choke with standard teats.
S. of use:
- Sterilise the teat before first use.
- Ensure the teat is compatible with your Philips Avent Natural bottle.
- Fit the teat into the bottle cap, ensuring it is correctly seated.
- Screw the cap with the teat onto the bottle containing the feed.
- When giving the bottle to your baby, hold it at an angle to ensure the teat is filled with milk.
Remember that your baby may need a few attempts to get used to the responsive teat – this is a natural adaptation process. Observe your baby’s reactions – if they have difficulty feeding or seem frustrated, consider switching to a teat with a higher flow rate. After each use, wash the teat thoroughly with warm water and a mild detergent.
How to choose the right teat flow:
- Switch to a lower flow if milk is leaking from your baby’s mouth or they are choking.
- Switch to a higher flow if your baby is playing with the teat, seems frustrated or the feed is taking too long.
- Observe your baby’s behaviour during feeding – this is the best indicator of whether the flow is right.
- Consult a specialist if feeding problems persist despite changing the flow.
