About the product

Sadvit is a family-run juice press in Magierowa Wola near Warka, Poland, making juices from fruit and vegetables only, without water, sugar or flavour enhancers.

The Curcuma longa rhizomes come straight from Peru and are cold-pressed using the NFC method. No powdered turmeric and no concentrate go into the juice, only fresh raw material.

The recipe has just two ingredients: turmeric juice 91% and lemon juice 9%. The lemon isn't a token flavour addition, it provides the sharp counterpoint to the earthy, peppery turmeric.

The juice is unfiltered and intensely yellow. It will stain anything it touches, including countertops and clothing, that's simply a property of curcumin, not a flaw.

Sugars sit at 1.1 g per 100 ml, which counts as low sugar content.

The tap-fitted pouch keeps air out, so once opened the juice stays fresh for 21 days instead of two.

Purpose

For anyone who drinks a morning shot and prefers fresh juice to capsules or powder. It also works in the kitchen, added to tea, lemonade, soups and sauces, or used as a natural yellow colouring.

How to use

1. Pour straight from the tap without opening the pouch.
2. Shake the pack before pouring, the juice is unfiltered and settles.
3. The manufacturer suggests 50 ml a day, around 3-4 tablespoons.
4. Drink it neat as a morning shot, or dilute with water or fruit juice.
5. Add a spoonful to tea, soup or a sauce instead of powdered turmeric.
6. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist about dosage.

Storage

Store in a dry, shaded place at 2 to 20°C. Once opened, the juice stays fresh for 21 days as long as the tap remains covered by juice and no air enters the pouch. If air does get in, use the juice within 24 hours.
